Configuring LP report export permissions

Learn how to control which file formats LPs can download from their LP reports.

Written by Support

Overview

In the data gathering step of the LP report builder, you can now configure export permissions for your LPs. This lets you control whether investors can download their LP report as a PDF, XLS, or JSON file.

The JSON export includes the same data as the PDF report, formatted so it can be read by LLMs.

You'll find these settings in the Materials section, in a tab called Export permissions.

Setting default permissions

At the top of the Export permissions tab, you'll see the default permissions with three toggles: PDF, XLS, and JSON.

Turning these on or off changes the default permissions applied to every investor who hasn't been given custom permissions.

Customizing permissions for an investor

  1. Click an investor in the list to open their configuration page

  2. Toggle off Default permission to set custom permissions for that investor

  3. Enable or disable PDF, XLS, or JSON as needed

  4. Click Save

Next to each investor's name, a tag shows Default or Custom, telling you at a glance which permissions are in place.

Note: If you leave the Export permissions tab with unsaved changes, a red box will appear to remind you to save.

Reviewing contacts

Click Review contacts to see all contacts linked to an investor and the export permissions each one has.
